Anastasia began her career in Canada, working with one of the country's largest search and consulting firms. After two successful years with the company, senior management recruited her to open their first U.S. office in Raleigh, NC. For four and a half years, Anastasia was instrumental in growing their local office into a multi-million dollar business. Her contributions included building a diverse network of clients from many major corporations, including Nortel Networks, IBM and GlaxoSmithKline, to a group of "skills-on-demand" emerging growth companies.
In each year of her employment, Anastasia ranked in the top five overall Account Executives and won many awards for her sales and team contributions. Anastasia is a graduate of Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, having spent her formative years in England and South Africa.

With almost a decade of executive search industry experience, Don has spent the last several years focusing on executive search with a concentration on local and national search projects for mid to senior level professionals in the Life Sciences. His searches have involved senior level individual contributors through C level executives, with particular emphasis on sales, business development, marketing, product development, project management and pre-clinical R&D. In addition, Don has prior experience recruiting in Technology and Engineering. An enabler of relationships that have resulted in quantifiable goodwill for his constituency, Don is recognized by his clients, candidates and peers, as routinely creating value through a powerful network and deep industry knowledge. Throughout his recruiting career, Don has consistently finished in the top quartile of his peer group.
Prior to the recruiting industry, Don spent several years in the financial services industry and managed several million dollars in assets. He holds the designations of CFP® and AAMS® and a BA in Business Management and Economics from North Carolina State University.

Megan’s practice spans the nation, with client concentrations on both coasts. Megan is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Psychology. Her leisure time is spent enjoying photography, playing tennis and spending time with her family.

Mark Cimini is the Senior Search Manager for the Clinical Life Sciences practice at Carlyle & Conlan. Along with extensive recruiting experience, Mark has a degree in Education from Mercer University, specializing in the Sciences. His knowledge of the industry, along with a passion for motivating, challenging and supporting professionals through the transitional phases of employment, has resulted in remarkable success. Throughout his career as a professional recruiter, Mark has gained a reputation as an eternally positive and proactive man always ready and willing to assume the next great challenge.
Along with Mark’s dedication to recruiting, he is a serious athlete. He competed at the highest level of amateur baseball, dividing his collegiate career between North Florida and Mercer University. As an athlete, Mark learned to identify individual strengths and create strong collaborations. In his free time, Mark enjoys the outdoors, exercising, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

Joe Lucas is the Director of Accounting/Finance and HR Search Practice, which concentrates on recruiting CFOs, controllers, treasurers, financial analysts, tax and audit professionals, and human resource professionals. Joe’s assessment of culture and an individual’s potential to succeed in particular environments repeatedly results in the placement of C-level and mid-level professionals dedicated to driving long-term organizational success.
Joe’s expertise and reputation enables him to help clients – ranging from the Fortune 500 to early stage companies – build and restructure teams that can meet continuous competitive challenges. In doing so, he has recruited talent for C-level, VP, Director, and individual contributors heading critical functions in accounting/finance and human resources.
Prior to joining Carlyle & Conlan, Joe lead an executive search practice for 9 years, and worked for an international search firm. His corporate career includes holding senior level roles with a Big 4 public accounting firm, and over 10 years in sales with General Electric Company, before starting a successful career in executive recruiting over 12 years ago.
Living in Raleigh, NC, Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Southern New Hampshire University and a MBA from Christian Brothers University.
Chris Conlan

Chris joins Carlyle & Conlan as Controller. Chris began her career as a social worker and was in practice for 10 years both in South Africa and in London, England. She brings to Carlyle & Conlan 20 years in finance, administration and office management from a variety of industries including healthcare, higher education and accounting. Chris is a graduate of the University of Cape Town, South Africa and holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Science.

Lauren joins the Carlyle and Conlan team as a Receptionist. Originally from Northern Virginia, Lauren moved to Raleigh where she attended and recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a BA in Communication Media. Her past experience in a research and sales capacity have allowed her to be a quick and consistent contributor to the Technology Practice. When not in the office, Lauren can be found at the beach with family and friends, attempting to play golf, or rooting for the Wolfpack.
